My all mail inbox somehow was deleted and I can't retrieve it! Help!

Twice now the messages in my inbox have been deleted. Since I was keeping them to help me remember things, I'm not sure which ones are missing. However, I have looked in all my mailboxes and didn't find anything out of place. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I'm also not sure where to go for my e-mail settings.

I appreciate any suggestions for something to try.

Actually, if you're using a trackpad or Apple pointing device of any kind, my guess it slipped & went into some other mailbox.

In Mail>Preferences there are several categories for different settings.

In a browser login to your WebMail & see if All Mail was dragged into Trash box or other mailbox.
