How do I organize app icons in Launchpad alphabetically?

Only by manually dragging them into alphabetical order.

Same as on an iPhone, but on an iPhone you can actually arrange them all alphabetically with a single key stroke in Settings. I guess the iMac isn't versatile enough to permit that.

I use the dock and/or the Applications folder; after all, I am using a computer, not a "tap this pic/icon" device with a simplified version of the OS.
FWIW, apps in your Applications folder are in alphabetical order.
Apparently Apple didn't see the need. Personally I never use Launchpad.
Thanks. I'll use the Applications Folder instead or right click the LaunchPad to bring the apps up in a list in alphabetical order.
