No wifi icon on recovery mode

There is no wifi icon for some of our users within the recovery mode, any ideas?

MacBook Air (2020 or later)

Recovery Mode Has This:

Apparently, you are in Recovery Assistant. If you were to be in Recovery Mode, then that is where you'll see all of this --the Wi-Fi logo and all. So, boot into Recovery Mode by holding down [command + R] upon boot.

Wi-Fi Icon in Recovery Mode:

Are you referring to the top-right corner of the screen, while in Recovery Mode?


Report back if the following does the trick. I am eager to know.


Enable it Through Terminal:

  1. Go to: Utilities menu (top of screen)
  2. Select: Terminal
  3. Use this command:
networksetup -setairportpower en0 on


No wifi icon on recovery mode
