no Notification Center

hello,

about two months ago my notification center disappeared and I no longer receive notifications either.

(clicking on the date/time in the upper right corner, or swiping on the trackpad won't show it)

I have everything turned to allow notifications, do not disturb is turned off, I've restarted in safe mode and recovery mode, i've done a recovery restart and reinstalled Monterey, and I was on the phone with 3 different apple workers yesterday.

i have no idea what else to do! is anyone else having this issue?

my next option is taking it into the store.

thanks

Major Issues:

Anything that appears on this list needs immediate attention.

No Time Machine backup - Time Machine backup not found.

Unsigned files - There are unsigned software files installed that could be malicious and should be reviewed.

System Integrity Protection disabled - System Integrity Protection is disabled. This computer is at risk of malware infection.

Apple security disabled - Apple security software is disabled. This computer is at risk of malware infection.

Start by reenabling SIP and system security. You are putting your mac at risk.

You have MALWARE:

Unsigned Files:

Launchd: ~/Library/LaunchAgents/mega.mac.megaupdater.plist

Executable: /Applications/MEGAsync.app/Contents/MacOS/MEGAupdater

Details: Domain name invalid - possibly malware

Running app: /Applications/MEGAsync.app/Contents/MacOS/MEGAsync

Login Item: /Applications/MEGAsync.app

This is a known vessel for getting apps tainted with adware.

hmm...

You can try a safeboot

—SafeBoot How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test.

—you can from the Terminal.app relaunch the NC on the fly

restart the Notification Center by issuing the following command, copy and paste:

killall NotificationCenter

—If no insight or resolve—Notification Center rebuild in macOS,

delete from the Finder the plist: "com.apple.ncprefs.plist" this will reset user profile's Notification Center preferences

Finder>Go>Go to Folder copy and paste:

~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.ncprefs.plist

reboot and test.

—if all else fails you can reinstall the macOS on top of your existing macOS to sort anomalies.

all of this was unsuccessful :')

when I was in terminal and did: killall NotificationCenter
I received: No matching processes belonging to you were found

So you are saying you reinstalled the macOS and no resolve.....(?0

Suggest downloading the Application Etrecheck directly from a well Respected ASC Contributor. And Safe to use.

The application is free or paid from added features.

Run the application with Full Disc Access ( Security & Privacy - Full Disc Access ).

It will take a Snap Shot -  both the hardware and software.

The Report will Not Reveal Any Personal Information.

Post back the Full Report - copy and paste - using the Additional Text Icon ( 3rd Icon to last )

We can have a look at the report for possible issues and may have possible suggestions to resolve the issues.
