I bought an iPad on Ebay that the seller says he's used for several years. To get it ready to sell, he deleted his Apple ID. When I tried to log on it asks for a password linked to an account he doesn't recognize. Is it possible it went back to a previous account?
Sure, it's possible, but whatever account it is is irrelevant. The fact is you can't use the iPad and no one, not even Apple can help you. Return it for refund. It's useless to you.
