New Apple Watch Series 7 delivered with a dead battery

I just receive my new apple watch 7 and the charge is at 0 is it normal ?

Apple Watch series 8 dead out of the box I just had my first ever Apple Watch series 8 cellular watch delivered to me today. After taking it out the box the battery was completely dead. Is this normal? As usually with apple products there is some battery for the set up? It’s been on charge for over an hour and the green lighting bolt is on however the battery is not increasing. I am worried I have received a bad Apple Watch. Has anyone else had this issue? Can anyone please advise? Thanks

There usually is some charge in the watch,my new watch wouldn't turn on but once I charged it it's been ok since.

Was probably in storage for quite a while and the battery lost the little bit of charge that it did have.
