recovery key

When trying to set a recovery key for the first time...a window opened that says, "are you sure you want to create a recovery key?" But the window is small and won't expand to let me see the whole message/window and now I can't even restart my computer. I can't close system preferences.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.2

You can always force quit a shutdown by holding the power button/TouchID for ~6-10 sec.

Force Shut down your Mac.

Log out, sleep, wake, restart or shut down your Mac
