Linking Apple notes with a reminder

Does anyone know how to replicate the iOS functionality of linking a note to a reminder? I can drag a note into a reminder and it will create a reminder and provide a link directly opening the note on IOS but on MacOS I can't.

Thanks!

Hello theycallmetim78,

You would link them by doing the following:

  1. Select the note you want to create a reminder with.
  2. Click File > Share > Reminders. If Reminders is not on that list, make sure to add it to your Share menu: Use the Share menu on Mac - Apple Support
  3. Once you edit and select the appropriate options, click Add.

Take care!

Thank you Nicolas. I appreciate the response.

That will create a reminder with the text and images of the note in the reminder, but it won't actually link them like it does on iOS or iPadOS. Where, there will be a note icon in the reminder and when I press it take me to the actual note in the notes app.

All sharing on macOS does it put the text of the note in the reminder (which many times isn't helpful since the space to view those notes isn't easy to read).

I was hoping to get an actual link. As an aside, when I link a note on iPadOS this way, the reminder will show the notes icon and take me to the note on MacOS. I just can't seem to natively do in on the mac.
