safari text blowup problem

Hi Everyone- I have a 2022 iMac running 12.4 Monterey

I've been experiencing the following problem on and off for several years on my old mac as well with this new one.I just decided to call Apple Support(senior advisor) now.

What happens is when I am surfing safari(no particular website), all of a sudden out of nowhere the text/font size blows up huge on the webpage. I have to exit the page.

I also have an iPhone 10 and experienced this last week on it.

I have a new MacBook pro, (apple chip)but have not experienced it on that.

I have a senior advisor communicating currently with the engineers on this. I'm sure many, many other apple customers have or are currently experiencing this. I don't know why Apple hasn't addressed/fixed it.

Any suggestions or comments?

Thanks! Mike

It only has happened once quickly with my iPhone. I don't remember the exact way it looked, but most likely yes.

I can say that this photo is mostly, not exclusively, the way it looks with my iMac.

The picture I posted is of Apple's Accessibility Zoom feature.

I suggest you review carefully the link I gave earlier

Change Zoom preferences for accessibility on Mac - Apple Atbalsts (LV)

and go into your Mac Accessibility Preferences and make sure that nothing related to Zoom or various shortcuts for activating that have been turned on by mistake.

One thing about the Zoom feature is that screenshots of it don't work right, so that might explain the problems you describe relating to those.

Tom,

I have tried to post a screen shot here but it said it was too big. I also tried to copy and paste it here with no success.

Even if I did post it here, you would have to blow up the shot to really see the problems I'm not sure it could help.

Just a side note: I don't see this problem being unique to me because it happened on my iPhone 10 last week.

I truly hope it can be fixed because I want to keep using Safari.

Thank you!
