Mac Studio (M1 Max) and ASUS ProArt Display PA279CV
Is ASUS ProArt Display PA279CV compatible with Mac Studio (M1 Max)? If so, what is the best way to connect them? Which cable should I use?
Thank you

I concur with tbirdvet.
The Studio and that ASUS display offer several options.
1) a Thunderbolt/USB-C cable
2) a USB-C to DisplayPort cable
3) an HDMI cable, but only in a pinch

The Thunderbolt 3 cable will do the job just fine.
I believe connecting the Studio via TB cable to USB-C on display would be best followed by the DP with an adapter. Doesn't the display manual show the best connections?
Thank you so much for all the information! I will go with a Thunderbolt/USB-C cable :D
I've found the following at Apple's website:
Would either of them work for my situation? If both of them work, which one would be the best?
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for your fast response!
I totally forgot to mention that I'm planning on having dual monitors (my apologies). One is ASUS ProArt Display PA279CV (4K) and the other non-4K cheaper monitor. I did some research and found a YouTube video saying that you have to have the Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) cables for dual 4K monitors.
My situation is that only one of the two monitors is 4K. I heard that I still need to get the Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) cables for both monitors. Any thoughts?
Thank you so much!
I have two older 4K monitors, neither has USB-C input. I use the native HDMI port for one and and Thunderbolt>HDMI adapter and HDMI input for the other.
Thank you all so much for all your advice! It has been extremely helpful!
