Macbook pro unable to detect my iPhone

My MacBook pro running on macOS Big Sur suddenly could not recognise my iPhone on Finder.

I have gone to preference to tick and untick CD'S,DVD and iOS Devices but still didn't show but the phone is charging

help please.

My Macbook Air doesn't recognise my iPhone 12 when I plug it in. When I plug my iPhone into my computer, I don't have iTunes come up anymore, and I can't see my phone under devices in the finder window. When I go ty system information, it isn't available under usb either. My iPhone still charges when connected, though. My laptop is fully updated to Big Sur. I'm using a lightning to usb cable, but I had this same issue with my iPhone 6s, so I don't think the cable is the issue. Anyone know a fix?
