iPhone won't let me delete contacts
I’m trying to clean up my address book by deleting contacts that I no longer interact with but for some reason no matter what I do it won’t let me delete them?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. Make sure you are following the steps in the 'Delete a contact' section of Manage and delete contacts on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. If so, what happens when you try to delete a contact? Is there an error message?
Are these contact linked to an email account? You can see where contacts are linked by going to Contacts, tapping Groups in the upper lefthand corner, then selecting one account at a time. If the contacts are linked to an email account, try going to that webmail account, then deleting the contact. For example, if they are linked to iCloud, go to iCloud.com from a computer, select contacts. See if the same happens there. This may resolve the issue and if not, it will isolate where the problem lies.
