iPhone 11 screen won't respond to touch

my daughter's iphone 11 screen wont respond to touch. How can I restore to factory settings without being able to get into it with password?

see this, Restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings – Apple Support (UK) but I doubt a factory reset will fix the issue with the screen

Try a forced restart of your daughter's device, using these instructions:

Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the side (power) button. Only when the Apple logo appears (it might take 10-20 seconds), release that button (ignore all other screens that

might appear, the one with the "slider" to turn the device off included)
