iPhone Swipe Up

My iPhone will not swipe up on lock screen so I have to swipe down in the top right corner, hold down on the Wi-Fi settings and click on that in order for my passcode to come up. When I am into my phone, the bottom half of it doesn’t work so I gave to turn my iPhone sideways in order to swipe up. Is there anything anyone knows to get swiping up to work again?
