How to get iCloud backup to work on my iPhone?

how can i get iCloud back up to work manually? I have 3 bars showing I am connected to wifi but it keeps saying backup failed due no internet connection. Is there anyone who can help me get the iCloud backup to work? It keeps saying icloud backup has not happened for 5 weeks since April 29th. That was the day my wife and returned home after being in California using WiFi at Freinds house?

Your “bars” don’t show Wi-Fi connectivity. The fan icon shows Wi-Fi. And your phone must be connected to power to keep Wi-Fi on during a backup.

The next step is to Reset Network Settings on the phone. Settings/General/Transfer or Reset iPhone/Reset/Reset Network Settings.
