I'm running Monterey on my MacBook and I'm unable to add music from my MacBook to Apple Music / iPhone. When I drag and drop nothing shows up. I used to have the option to add music to library however that option is no longer available. How do I add music to Apple Music so I can then transfer to my iPhone? Music files are mp3.

I can sync music from Apple Music to iPhone, the issue is I can't add music from my laptop to Apple Music...to then add to my iPhone.
When I download a song I'm used to Apple Music auto opening to play it and also add to my library; Apple Music opens but the song does not play and it is also not added to my library. When I try to drag / drop into Apple Music nothing happens. and I can't import it either - the options are there but nothing happens when I follow the path.

Okay. Try doing it in Safe Mode: Open the Music app whilst holding the Command and Option keys.
