Trying to pair my apple watch

I’ve been trying to pair my Apple Watch series three but it says it needs an update in order to pair, when I try to update it says it can’t update because it’s not connected to internet.. What can i do to fix this?

Unable to update Apple Watch My Watch has been paired post which it asks for software update.When I click on update now it shows that I am not connected to the internet even though I am and all the other apps are functioning on the same WiFi network.I have tried pairing unpairing but all in vain.
