Large volume file transfer to iCloud

How do I best transfer files from a Buffalo NAS drive to iCloud? Most efficient?

It's a variety of file types, a lot of graphic files, images and work product as well as business files. The NAS drive is an elderly Buffalo RAID drive that I would keep as a backup. Thanks for your help.

Hi Pixeldrum,

As iCloud syncs data, not stores it, they will need to live somewhere. When transferring files to iCloud, you can either drag and drop it/upload it to the Files folder or to iCloud.com or you turn on the iCloud feature you want to use. For files you use iCloud Drive to sync your files with a computer. You can put images there, or you can use iCloud Photos for your images. Check out the following articles for more information to see what method and feature is best for you.

Hope this helps.

Have a good day.
