Using the fn key to forward delete

I can no longer use fn-delete to forward delete (MacOS Monterey, 12.4). I've tried different configurations in the SysPrefs>Shortcuts pane, but nothing works. I've read in the Forum to try clearing the cache, but I regularly use CleanMyMac to do that. Thank you.

Two things…

try Control-D for forward delete
Uninstall CleanMyMac. It is considered "junkware" by experienced users and is known to cause various problems.
