Hello,
De laptop of my wife shuts down when I want to record Quicktime. When I press "start" new recording, my laptop resets and goes back on. I've updated the OS and tried to reïnstal Quicktime player, but nothing seems to work....

At 19:36 the error occured and my laptop shuts down.
I have MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012)
Hope you guys can help me.
when this issue occurs:
1) what exactly does the error message say?
2) what are you using as a "save to" location? is it already set to "desktop"?
if you are unsure of your "save to" location, you can use the "shift-command-5" keyboard shortcut. this will bring up the recording controls. when they appear, choose "options".
then choose "desktop" as your "save to" location.
then test by launching another recording to see if you can now complete a recording longer than 19:36 minutes.
