Apple Music Listen Now not loading

Starting in May my Listen Now page in Apple Music no longer loads and personal radio station rarely works past a few songs. I just get an error stating “An error occurred - try again” which does nothing when clicked on. I have tried all recommended steps with no resolution. Was one of my favourite features of Apple Music so frustrating it doesn’t seem to work and so many are having same issue.

While you haven't mentioned what steps you've completed, if you haven't already try signing out of Apple Music and then signing back in.

Keep in mind, this will remove any songs made available for offline play, and you’ll need to download them again then when you log back in.


To sign out, navigate to Settings > [Your Name] > Media & Purchases > Sign Out.


Once you’ve signed back in, turn on Sync Library:


Turn on Sync Library with Apple Music


You can also turn on the automatic download option to quickly download content when added to your library.


  • "Always download music: Go to Settings > Music, then turn on Automatic Downloads.

Songs you add are automatically downloaded to iPhone."

Hello Penny2019,


It sounds like your "Listen Now" page and your personal radio station are no longer working as expected, and you receive an error message when you try to listen to them.


First, check to see that your iPhone is fully updated: How to update to iOS 15 or iPadOS 15 - Official Apple Support


Also, check to see if this happens when using Wi-Fi as well as cellular data. This will help rule out any network-related issues.


Check for any restrictions that you might have set up under Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions. If you have any set up, turn those restrictions off for now.
