restore launchpad to dock

Open Finder, click on the Applications folder on the left side panel, then look for the "Launchpad" app there and drag it onto the dock.

Just to add, you can also double-click on Launchpad in the Applications folder, which will then appear in the Dock, then control click on the Dock Icon and choose "Keep in Dock" from Options.
