Itunes and iPhone Music Genres do not match/sync

My iPhone genres list includes genres that I've deleted from my iTunes (Mac). I've deleted and reload the full music library and can't get the extra genres on the iPhone to sync up with the master library genres on my Mac.

iTunes Playlist using Genres I am completely new to Apple. A couple of weeks ago I bought my very first Apple product, an iPad Mini 6. This means that my knowledge of all things Apple is effectively zero. I have spent the last couple of weeks getting to know the Mini and iOS 15 and I have made some progress. I have successfully transferred my mp3 files on my Windows 11 PC to the iTunes Library, on my PC and was then able to transfer my mp3 files from the iTunes library on the PC to my Mini. So far so good! I am now about to start creating playlists and I am interested in using genres. my question is this. Does iTunes select it's own genre for the mp3 files or will it use the tags I have created for the files?

viewing music on iPhone in iTunes what's the deal with viewing music on my phone in the new version of iTunes (or Music as it seems to be called now)????? All I see is a list, can't I view it like I can my library on my Mac? Anyone......ideas?

Can't sync my iphone music to my Win10 iTunes library When I select Songs on my iPhone 13 Pro, I get a song list with many duplicate songs that play twice. So I opened my Win10 iTunes, chose "file\library\shyow duplicate items". A list of duplicates appeared, and I deleted the duplicates from the library, leaving just one copy of each song. Next, I synced my iPhone to my iTunes library. The sync 'completed' almost instantly. But my iPhone Music's songs list still has all those duplicates still on it, and each duplicated song still plays twice. It seems as though the iPhone is not really syncing. What am I missing? I thought the master song list was kept by the Win10 iTunes music library, and I thought that 'sync' means 'sync my iphone to my Win10 iTunes music library". If so, why doesn't my iPhone sync to that library...and how do I get rid of these duplicates on my iPhone? There are far too many to go through thousands of songs on the iPhone, clicking one by one on each duplicate-listed song's "..." symbol, and choosing 'delete'.

Syncing is generally computer to device. Deleting and reloading your content will continue to display any changed metadata. If you've changed/deleted genres for some of your content in error you may need to manually reset it while comparing the content of the device with that in your library.
