I should already have an iCloud+ account w/ 50 GB, MacBook does not display this, however my iPhone7+ does

Go to -> System Preferences -> click Apple ID (top right) -> then at the bottom of the screen you will see your iCloud+ storage.

You need to use the samet Apple ID.
