Siri and Car play

Hi,

After the last iPhone 8 update, SIRI doesn't recognize my text messages that I'm trying to send in the car. It reads them, but I just get a, 'hmmm, I can't hear you' or 'try again' message every time I try to send a text. I have done everything that is suggested in the 'how to use carplay'. My car has already had a software update. When I explained it to the guy at the dealer, he said it was an Apple problem and they were 'fixing' it with an update. My IOS is 15.5 and up to date.

Any thoughts as to the problem? I also see in 'Bluetooth' settings that my Iphone is discoverable as 'iPhone (5). Is that a problem?
