why is apple trying to force download an IOS when it is set to not be automatic, and why doesn't apple recognize my location?

Automatic updates is off. It is not supposed to download automatically. However, it keeps telling me the update is available. Apple told me it is set to do that. However, the other day, the iOS downloaded automatically, and gave me the choice to install it now or later. I said later since I was shocked by it, and it is not compatible with my device. I had to look up how to delete the download.

Second, I got notified that I was logging in from an area far away from me. There is no reason that it should even say I was in that location. Why would it think I was like some place totally different? It is like it traced me to an opposite place.

There is another question I wasn't thinking of asking, but some people said they got kicked out of their apple ID for using the app store when they travelled. I also used my apple ID in a different app store before, and i had to use unnecessary steps to get back into my account.

So why all this garbage?

By the way, they shouldn't force downloads and installation if it is turned off.

iPhone SE, iOS 13

If you had not attempted to download it will never do it on its own.

  1. Enable  Guided Access before handing over an iPhone to kids
  2. Don't share Apple IDs
  3. Don't Jailbreak
  4. Don't share sensitive information pertaining to your device

I am not sure which garbage you are referring to. If you are experiencing any difficulty with third-party apps then please contact the app developer directly --> How to contact an app developer - Apple Support

Availability of App varies from Country to Country including their functionality. To get the full features you need to change the App Store Country / Apple ID Country

For Example, the LA Fitness app is not available in India.

None of that is going on. I don't share my phone or jailbreak. I did not attempt to download it. I kept getting a notification that it was available, and ignored it. The other day, there was suddenly an alert that i could install it now or later. I found out it had downloaded already. Apple Support basically told me before that they try to make people download it. I am trying to figure out why it would do it since I did not even agree to download it. The only time that i have something sensitive (like IMEI, etc) is with Apple when troubleshooting. i don't give out apple ID. Indeed, it downloaded it even with automatic being set to off, and I did not agree to do it.

This is kind of like Microsoft Windows. It downloads updates all the time by itself, and used to be an option. The only difference is that I can delete the file off of the iPhone before it installs.

The app issue i found out was very strange because i asked a friend if it is still available and it was available for the latest iOS. However, i did further investigation as well, and people who logged in when travelling got locked out of their own ID.

It took me a long time when i tested this option by using a foreign app store. I had used a foreign app store in the past to play a game. Apple did not lock me out. But that time (probably last year), i got locked out, and i think i needed to go through wifi, and contact support.

However, another user was unable to use their devices when traveling, since it seemed to appear that they were not themselves since they were in a different location/using a foreign app store.

But the thing is, that users often need to prove by two-factor authentication, and verify information to prove their identity.
