What is the password on a new computer? I can’t remember my password and never changed it from when I bought it. I thought it was 12345678

There is no factory-set Mac login password.

The Mac login password is user-set.

A Mac does not ship with any user or admin accounts set up. As part of first booting the device, users create their accounts and the password for it. So there is no factory default as the factory doesn’t ship Mac’s with pre-existing accounts.
