I would like to get the default iPhone keyboard on my Mini to replace the latter’s default, which I don’t like for use with a stylus. What is the iPhone’s keyboard called and how can I go about getting it? The Add Keyboard in Settings on my Mini only shows other languages. Thanks,

Your iPad mini has native support for the full on-screen keyboard, split-keyboard and the floating keyboard.
You can add other keyboards using an appropriate App purchased from the App Store; perhaps you’ll find something more appropriate for your needs. A popular alternative keyboard is Typefinity - although this may not be what you’re looking for:

iPadOS for iPad and iOS for iPhone are different platforms - with different features and capabilities. iPad and iPhone have always had differences in keyboard presentation.
Thanks, but is this the style keyboard where letters pop up a little with the stroke, so one has clearer feedback. That’s what I’m looking for. With a capacitive stylus with round tip on the default iPad keyboard, I sometimes make more typos per minute than I made in days with a Mini 2 that had a screen protector.
Ok, then any other iPhone like keyboard suggestions from the app store? I find the iPhone keyboard allows for more precise and consistent typing, along with instant feedback when I make a mistake. That works better than seeing the result characters later.
I would think that the native iPhone style would be available for the iPad, but is that wishful thinking?
