USB Tethering disconnects Internet

Hello guys,

my IPhone 13 Pro Max 512GB always shuts down the Internet connection after 2,5 - 3GB traffic.

Carrier: T-Mobile Germany via eSIM

Traffic option: unlimited data

Hotspot - OFF

Hotspot - ON

Compatibility Mode ON or OFF

won‘t help.

It works again after like 10 Minutes cooldown and causes the same Problem after my Device consumed like 2,5-3GB of traffic again.

Use these steps first

Restart the iPhone or iPad that provides Personal Hotspot and the other device that needs to connect to Personal Hotspot. Make sure that you have the latest version of iOS. On the iPhone or iPad that provides Personal Hotspot, go to Settings > General > Reset, then tap Reset Network Settings.

If Personal Hotspot is not working on your iPhone or iPad (Wi-Fi

The Hotspot is a carrier-specific feature. Contact your carrier, if it is not appearing on your device.

Also, check the following

  1. Network coverage and stability
  2. Data Balance
  3. On your windows (See if WiFi Auto Joins is enabled)
  4. Also, check if you have any stronger WiFi signal around your computer.

Dear SravanKra,

could you please refer to the specific explained problem, when you are going to post so called „solutions“ which are probably meant for the „have you ever used a smartphone newbies“

I explained to have an internet traffic disconnect after the consumption of around 2.5 to 3 GB, when I use the IPhone as a NetworkCard via USB.

IF in your world, dear SravanKra, all USB Ports belong to your neighbors WiFi, please do not reply to this post.

AND

Since when is the IPhone Hotspot Feature a network carrier related function?

I want to know, why the smartphone is still connected as a network card, but the data transfer is being stopped after a reproducible amount of data has passed. The network card status claims to have no internet connection.

After around 10 minutes I can consume the same amount of data, until the internet connection (not the connection itself) is being blocked again.

Of course I have good reception and I tried this in many locations and on different devices - I just never had this issue with all my previous owned Android devices (Samsung Galaxy S4, ZTE AXON 7, Huawei Mate 20lite, OnePlus 9 Pro, Huawei Mate 20 X 5G, Samsung S21 FE 5G)

best regards
