GarageBand - dealing with gaps
Hey,
I’m using GarageBand to edit my 5 person podcast where we are all on our own tracks. It’s going well but I waste a lot of time moving the entire 5 tracks a few inches to close a gap after I edit something one of us said out. Basically, in order to keep everyone synched up, I have to cut all the tracks at the same spot (easily done) and then zoom out and hold shift down, drag the mouse over everything to the right of the gap and then zoom back in and drag the future bits all to the right to make sure they synch up, then listen to make sure I did a good job of the transition and then if not, keep fussing. But, I might accidentally click and then I have to do the whole zoom out-select all to the right of the gap-zoom in but again. I’m editing several hours of talking to get it down to 1 hour sooooo, lots of gaps are created and need to be perfectly removed. There must be a way to either select everything in the project to the right of the play head OR some other trick to easily close a gap without messing up the synchronization of the tracks to each other. Please help!
