Stolen phone

Phone was stolen and can’t confirm that I erased/remote locked it. I got a new phone with a new SIM card attached to the phone number I’ve always had. Everything has been fine but I got a few texts with ‘my google messenger verification code’? And my Apple ID was used to sign in somewhere I don’t live. I clicked don’t allow and then had all my devices signed out, but I’m just worried. What should I do?

Change your Apple ID password; someone knows it. Beware of a common phishing scam: You may get a text or email from “Apple” or “Apple Security” (or sometimes “Police”) saying your phone has been found and to click on a link to see its location. This is NEVER from Apple or from law enforcement; it is from the thief or fence to steal your Apple ID and identity. Delete any such message without responding to it. Apple never gets involved in lost or stolen devices. It’s possible you fell for this already.
