2021 Mcbook Pro Macsafe Charging issue

MacBook Pro (14-inch, 2021), Apple M1 Max. Monterey 12.4

Happened twice in the last two weeks. Macsafe was plugged in for hours and had orange light but wasn't charging. The battery was 15% when I plugged in. Tried to disconnect Macsafe and reconnect but no luck. This is the original charging macsafe and adapter block.

The first time got fixed after I restarted the Macbook. This I connect different USBC thunderbolt charging cables and then unplugged the USBC charging cable while Macsafe was connected, and started to charge.

Community suggests different things to try and I'm sure tech support will try different things too, and once it starts to work, no there will be action to prevent this to happen again at a later time. It's frustrating middle work, it stops charging. Common Apple, figure out why and fix it.

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 12.4

Thanks for reaching out, AkChow.

It sounds like you're having some battery issues with your MacBook Pro. We can help.

Since you've already tried some steps already, you can check out this article to Get help with your Mac notebook battery.

Give that a try, and if you find you're still having difficulty, you can Contact Apple for support and service.

Hope that helps!

Take care.
