MacBook Pro 16" M1 Pro and 2 24" LED Cinema Displays

I'm trying to connect my 2 24" LED Cinema Displays to my brand new 2021 MacBook Pro with M1 Pro chip. I have the correct Mini DisplayPort to USB-C adapters and one Cinema Display works perfectly. The second Cinema Display is not detected. Both work fine with the 2017 MBP I'm replacing. Any ideas while I continue to research? Thanks!

I'm seeing this on the support page:

  • You can connect up to two external displays to your Mac using the Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) and HDMI ports.
