IMac 24" 2007 Factory Reset?

I try to use command+R , Command+option+R, Command+Option+Shift+R but machine is not going into recovery mode to perform a factory reset or wipe the hard drive. Is there any option i can wipe the hard drive?

Use a compatible Mac OS X install DVD or the computer's original one.
