Map ETAs not working

A few days ago, I noticed that the ETA notifications when leaving my house and leaving work stopped working. I added my home and work addresses to the Maps app but ETA notifications still wouldn't work. Today I removed and reconnected my phone to my car's bluetooth. I immediately got a ETA to home notification and another a half hour later. It stopped working again after that.

How do I turn off all notifications when using maps? Whenever I use Apple Maps I still get all my notifications. I do not want to see my texts or emails when driving it is super distracting. I try do not disturb but it doesn’t help since my phone is still on.

How to get notifications from maps when on a different screen I have Apple Carplay in a new Chevy truck. When I have a route use Google maps all works good. The map comes up on my screen and shows me the route. When I go to a different screen, i.e. radio, I don't get any notifications regarding the route. So, for example, if a turn is coming up I know nothing about it. This is not how my phone, by itself, works. When I leave the map app I get notified of every turn in a banner. Can I get Carplay to do the same?

Maps on CarPlay not working right I’m having a real issue all of a sudden with any map application using CarPlay. It appears the GPS/coordinates are not correct only when I connect to CarPlay. If I disconnect, the maps work fine on my phone. I tried disconnecting the phone, resetting my network settings on my iPhone, and restarting and nothing seems to work. I added my wife’s phone to my car, and it’s a brand new iPhone 12 Pro Max and the same issue is there. I really don’t know what has changed, it’s a fairly new unit in my car and has worked great for months and then a week ago all maps (Waze, Apple Maps, Google Maps) have no idea where I’m at. Is this on the phone or the unit (seems odd to be the unit since there have been no upgrades or anything), or perhaps the latest iOS update?
