I plugged in my iphone to my macbook and the trust this computer message shows up but it continues to pop up every few seconds even after I trusted the computer. I reset location and privacy settings but it didn't do anything. Is there another solution for this?

If you haven't yet, try restarting your Mac. If still no luck, try booting into Safe Mode: How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support and see if the issue persists there.
