Change strange iPhone name

How do I change the crazy nonsensical name of my iPhone? I wasn’t the one to name it.

Settings > General > About > Name.

Name of iPhone keeps changing My iPhone 13 was originally set-up as Kurt's iPhone 13. It was fine for about a month or so, but then (for no reason I can see), the name was changed to iPhone (1). It keeps changing and is currently up to iPhone (9). Haven't really seen anything operationally wrong and the various tie-ins such as find my device, etc. seem to follow it as it changes.
