Iphone backup to Mac does not end.

I usually back my phone to the cloud, but. I am trying to do a deeper. backup to my. Mac. Now I have the progress "barber pole" which has been there for over an hour. Any ideas what the hang up is and how to get around it?

iPhone 11 capacity -> 64 GB & 128 GB, do you have enough storage on the macOS computer?
