i could not back up my data from the old i phone to the new one through my labtop
Oops, that's a problem.
If you still have your old iPhone, you can create a new backup (with a different new password), as per the instructions provided at the section "Turn off backup encryption" in the support article that led you here, or by using these steps:--> If you can’t remember the password for your encrypted backup - Apple Support
If you don't have your old device any longer... it's a serious problem, sorry.
