Using two pairs of AirPods to chat to each other

Hi,

is it possible to use 2 pairs of AirPods to chat to each other. Other than calling each other.

I’m asking as my car is incredibly loud and I wear AirPods for noise reduction. I want to keep line open in case anyone wants to call me. But if I have a passenger I’d like to be able to talk to them too through headset. A little bit like helicopter pilots do.

is there an app or some functionality on iPhone for this?

Can two devices be connected at the same time to AirPods (iPhone and Samsung)? Can I connect both my iPhone (11) and my Samsung A10 to Airpods for simultaneously use? I.e. am I able to take calls on the Airpods regardless of which phone that rings? As is possible with for example Plantronics B3200? If not, does anybody know when will this be possible also with Airpods?

AirPods with multiple devices Can you pair 2 devices at once to the AirPods? I have an iPhone and a Micorsoft SurfacePro I use for business and can get phone/video calls on either one while I'm working. I wan to be able to easily answer wither from my AirPods.
