Connecting two displays to Mac Mini

Hey there

I would like to connect two displays to my Mac mini, but I don’t want them to mirror each other, so I can’t use a converter with two hdmi ports cuz then they’ll show the same thing on both screens, which is what I’m doing now and I don’t want that.

my question is if I plug in one hdmi cable into the converter I already have (which plugs into the thunderbolt port on my Mac) and one hdmi into the hdmi on my Mac, will it work?

thank you and I hope I was clear, otherwise ask me if you have any questions.

Normally if one display is connect HDMI to HDMI and the other display is connected using Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter and HDMI cable, then the default is Extended Desktop Mode.
