Aside from the find my app (which had to be turned on), did you purchase Applecare + for the Phone (or get the one with theft + loss protection)?
As for getting a new one - unless you had the above coverage, you can pick any phone you'd like to buy.
And, Apple does not get involved in theft or loss recovery.
I did purchase Applecare + for the Phone (or get the one with theft + loss protection). I was suppose to get an email with the link to how to get my new phone but never got it. And when I did it my self online it said it would take days, I can't go days without a phone!
Are you dealing with Apple or the insurance company (theft + loss coverage administrator)?
That is who you need to communicate with. We are other end users, not Apple employees and cannot help with your problem.p
