Question:Q:Built-in Keyboard and Trackpad Not Working, MacBook Pro 2017 15”

Hello everybody,


today, while I was working on my MacBook Pro 2017, connected to a Motu audio soundcard, that we use to play with my band, suddenly, the built-in keyboard and the trackpad too stopped working.

I’ve tried several times to restart it but nothing changed. I’ve connected my bluetooth keyboard and magic-mouse, and with them it works properly, but I haven’t been able to find a solution for the built-in ones.


can you please help me?


I’m really desperate because in few days we will have a concert and we absolutely need it full-working 😓😓😓😓

Hi,

Try to check your MacBook Pro keyboard and TrackPad with Apple Diagnostics if it reports Keyboard and TrackPad errors.

Use Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac - Apple Support

If it doesn't help, you'd better contact Apple Support or take your MacBook Pro to your local retail AppleStore Genius Bar or Apple Authorized Service Provider to be examined your MacBook Pro there.
