Hi Res Lossless Audio to Streamer

I'd like to convert the audio signal using the DAC from my 2-channel set up which is of high quality. I am currently using a Bluesound Node 2i to stream but would consider a different streamer if necessary. The DAC I have is resident in an Esoteric CD player and has Toslink, USB and Spdif inputs. Is this possible and if so, by what means? I am currently using the Airplay capability of the streamer. I also have an iMac and an older MacBook Pro, besides the cell phone.

I have been trying to get several DACS to output 24bit/192Khz over their optical out with no success. The dongles or Adapters are capable and I can do it on my Android phone but my iPAD is not able to send the sound out the optical connection at 24/192. The highest I can get is 24bit/96Khz or lower. Wondering what the limiting factor is. Also if I use the headphone out I have no issue. I am trying to send the 24/196 signal to either a DSP or Home theater receiver. And Yes, I am using the apple USB 3.0 Camera adapter. Please help what am I doing wrong here. Is there a setting or something I am missing. All settings are set to Hi-Res Lossless.
