No password provided - wrong error message

My iPhone Mail App has started showing a message that there is no password provided. There is in fact, and it is the same password that works on my iPad and computer. I have trid deleting the account and adding it again. I even deleted the app and re-installed it. I am using IOS 15.5.


Can any one suggest what's going on and a fix?

It would be better if you can please re-post with a screenshot, in order to understand the phenomenon better. Images/pictures speak louder than words.
