What are these "bars" on my iPad Pro using for? Just confused and I didn't find anything online.

These are antenna apertures.
Your iPad has an aluminium unibody. Without gaps (covered here as illustrated) through which radio signals can propagate, your WiFi, Bluetooth (and if equipped, Cellular) radios would not receive a signal.

Thanks! But I didn't see the same thing on my friend's iPad (same model). little confused about this.
Perhaps you friend has a WIFi Only model of IiPad - lacking Cellular.
