Blinking light after attempts to update to TVOS 15.5.1

Hi all! I have a Apple TV HD currently running on TVOS 15.4.1 (19L452). There’s a software update currently available for download ie 15.5.1 (19L580) however each time I download it, my Apple TV will restart and then the white light in front of the device just keeps blinking with nothing showing on my tv.

Restarting the device via my remote (holding the menu & home button) would normally turn the device back on however, each time it tries to automatically update the software, the same issue happens. I have currently turned off the automatic update option for now.

I have also factory reset my device and tried updating again but the same thing would happen. Is this a compatibility issue? Wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same problem.

We suggest making sure you've followed these steps:

Get help

• If you can’t update your Apple TV, make sure that you’re connected to a Wi-Fi or Ethernet network.

• If the progress bar for the update appears stuck or paused, don’t unplug your Apple TV. Allow more time for the update to complete. If you've been waiting for more than an hour, contact Apple Support before you restart or unplug or Apple TV.

• If there is an issue during the update, you might see a message that asks you to Erase All Settings or Restart. Try the Restart option first. If you see the same message again, select Erase All Settings.

• If your Apple TV doesn't turn on after the update is complete, learn what to do.
