Flag colors in Mail not distinct enough

I rely heavily on the Flags in Mail. Just upgraded to a new computer, and am very disappointed in these colors. They are not distinct enough, so it is really difficult to distinguish between the reddish colors and the bluish colors. Any way to put pressure on Apple to either rectify this, or let us choose our own colors?

mail flag colours The flag-tool in Mail is a great tool to me (on Mac) but since running Ventura 13.1, the colours have changed in a way that there is far less distinction between the colours and - what was bright - yellow now looks brown. Tried to look for a solution in Mail settings but don't find the answer. Would also be great if the same flag-system could be synchronised in Mail on tablets and ios phones but reading through this community, flag synchronisation doesn't seem to be available. Setting flag colors in mail When I select a color for a flag other than red the little flag on the email appears in the chosen color. But if I leave mail and then open it later, all flags are red regardless of which color I had previously selected. Why want they stay the color I picked?

MacBook Pro Mail Flags How to enable the flag color to show when flagging a message? Prior to the recent update if I selected any color to flag a message that color would appear. Currently, when I choose a color the only color shown next to the message is white. Why is this happening?
