unable to activate my ESPN+ account on Apple TV

I am unable to activate my ESPN+ account on Apple TV.

I am able to visit espn.com/activate, and enter the 6-character activation code. After entering the code on the web site, I see a confirmation message saying Success (screenshot attached).

However, the Apple TV app does not refresh after entering the code.

You wouldn’t view ESPN+ through the Apple TV app, but through the ESPN app. So download (Get) that app on your Apple TV 4K, in the on-device App Store.

sorry I wasn’t clear…i am using the ESPN App on AppleTV; hence I was able to get the activation code. It works with tv provider login, however, it never refreshes when I use ESPN+ login.

@jooshwahr Did you sort this out? I am having same issue. ESPN says all looks good on their end. My ESPN+ is working on PC/Mac/iOS/Samsung TV. but not on Apple TV. It is an issue with activation code and iTunes.
