Where does Quicktime Player save its files? (this is for an Imac M1.)

open the recording controls with the "command-shift-5" keyboard shortcut, and choose "options".
then check in the "save to" section to see where they are currently being saved to.
and you can use the "save to" options to save them to somewhere other than the default location. and if you want, choose "remember last selection" to use the same options next time without having to choose them each time.
